My only experiences here have been take-out since discovering it after COVID affected businesses in the community. First off, I'm happy these guys are open, and secondly, I appreciate that they are one of the only Thai restaraunts open late.
First time, we had massaman curry with chicken and panang curry with pork, both mild. We liked the panang a little more only because there are more vegetables in it. I don't like panang that is thick or too strong on the peanut butter. This panang is perfect. Good balance of peanut butter and fish sauce flavors. We enjoyed both curries very much.
Tonight I ordered the thai style pad kra pow. This is the dish I'll order at new places to test if I will become a frequent customer or not. There was only one place on Oahu that made this dish the way I love it, and they closed down. I've searched high and low, and no other Thai places make it anywhere near the same. Tonight I drove off with the pad kra pow and I could tell just by the aroma it was gonna be very close.
Sure enough, the flavor is almost exactly the same as the one I've been craving to find and I was in food heaven! The only small difference is the vegetables, but that's fine because the flavor is what I've been looking for.
Also, I ordered it spicy, to see how hot they go. Holy shiz, these guys do NOT fool around when you say you want it hot! I am SO happy. The only time I had Thai food any hotter was a home-cooked meal from someone from Thailand, and I couldn't feel my mouth. This place doesn't go that crazy, but it's a close second for me. The heat level also reminds me of a homemade chili oil from Thailand that a coworker once gave me. I love how spicy this restaraunt goes. I don't like places that wimp out on spicy.
I also got a free thai tea with my meal. Excellent flavor! Not overly sweet.
I can't wait to try out more dishes from here. Thank you!
